Adding staff symbols

Activate the  tools panel (using the mouse or the Alt+S hotkey).
Press the «Piano»  .. «Crescendo»  .. «Trill»  .. button.
Move the mouse cursor over the staff position where the symbol should be added and press the left mouse button.
