One way is entering notes via MIDI keyboard.<\/p>\n<p>You can use MIDI keyboard for real-time or step input to create sheet music and all that you play on it will be writt\u0435n into your score automatically.<\/p>\n<p>Before you can start recording please make sure your MIDI keyboard is connected with your computer. Then go to Service -> Settings -> Devices tab and choose your device in the list:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.musicaleditor.com\/wp\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/001-1.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you want to record your music by using step input, check that &#171;Use MIDI device for input&#187; button on the Notes toolbar is enabled:<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.musicaleditor.com\/wp\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/002-1.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>then choose duration on the Notes toolbar and play notes on your MIDI keyboard.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.musicaleditor.com\/wp\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/003-1.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you need a rest hold Shift on your PC keyboard and press any key on MIDI keyboard.<\/p>\n<p>For step input you can also use &#171;Record MIDI&#187; button:<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.musicaleditor.com\/wp\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/004-1.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Choose needed note duration in the \u201cRecord MIDI\u201d window:<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.musicaleditor.com\/wp\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/005-1.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After that you can start playing, and notes of set duration will be automatically writt\u0435n into your score. Just don\u2019t forget to change note duration when needed.<\/p>\n<p>To record your music in real-time follow this method:<\/p>\n<p>First, check that &#171;Use MIDI device for input&#187; button on the Notes toolbar is disabled:<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.musicaleditor.com\/wp\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/006-1.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then click on the &#171;Record MIDI&#187; button:<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.musicaleditor.com\/wp\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/007-1.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click on &#171;Realtime&#187; button in the popped window \u201cRecord MIDI\u201d:<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.musicaleditor.com\/wp\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/008-1.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s it. Now you can just play any melody that you want and all notes will be automatically writt\u0435n into your score.\n<\/p>\n<p>Additional settings: you can use two hands mode. In this case melody will be automatically distributed between two staves for any instrument which has two staves. To use this input mode click on &#171;Two hands&#187; button in \u201cRecord MIDI\u201d window:<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.musicaleditor.com\/wp\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/009-1.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can turn the metronome on or off:<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.musicaleditor.com\/wp\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/010-1.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If Play button is active you will hear other parts of the score when recording<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.musicaleditor.com\/wp\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/011-1.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Notes duration on the bottom is the same as quantization threshold for the real-time recording mode.
