MagicScore Maestro 8 is released!<\/h2>\n

Due to speeding-up of score typesetting, printing out, and sharing on the Web, improvement of score quality, and a significant enhancement of work with sound, musicians will benefit even more from using MagicScore Maestro 8 in their creativity, work, and studies.

What’s new in the new version of the notation editor MagicScore Maestro 8<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

Improvements of work with the score<\/h2>\n
    \n

    A fast input of rest has been added. To enter rests, hold the Shift key.<\/p>\n

    The Expressions panel was enhanced. You can easily chose the expression you need, and, if necessary, create your own expressions and assign them specific actions, like Dynamic, Tempo, MIDI-events etc.<\/p>\n

    Volta brackets display is improved. Volta layout options have been added.<\/p>\n

    Active focus function has been added; it allows for directly working with a note when the mouse pointer is located over it, without activating any other instruments. You can edit the note, add slur, accidentals, articulation etc.<\/p>\n<\/ol>\n

    Work with sound<\/h2>\n

    We added more than 10 sound effects corresponding to different methods of playing.<\/p>\n

    Three glissando types are implemented in the program. The context menu allows for choosing one of the following types: piano, chromatic, and fretless glissando. The duration, start, and end time can be customized in the Piano Roll Editor.<\/p>\n

    Two types of vibrato, narrow and wide, are implemented as sound effects.<\/p>\n

    Bends can be entered using the bend hat and arrows and are also implemented as sound effects. Like glissando, each bend type can be customized in the Piano Roll Editor. This allow the musician both correctly notate the modern guitar methods of playing and obtain the correct sound on the notes and tablatures.<\/p>\n

    Gitar playing methods Hammer On \/ Pull Off are implemented as a sound effects. Their sound has become more realistic, which also improves the phrasing.<\/p>\n

    Stopped Note and Dead Note are implemented as sound effects.<\/p>\n

    Usability improvements<\/h2>\n

    We improved the main menu and the main instrument panel. In particular we added tab Sound. Buttons for quick access to the audio editors were added, they are located below the music sheet.<\/p>\n

    In any input mode, the playback is now activated by pressing the Space key or by clicking the Play button in the Playing panel.<\/p>\n

    The program can now be learned much faster<\/h2>\n

    A Brief Quick Start Guide is created. Here we collected everything that will help mastering the program at any skill level, from beginners to more advanced users.<\/p>\n

    Publishing music in Web becomes simpler<\/h2>\n

    Integration with the Music Portal. Now you can save your scores and, if necessary share them, with the aid of our new Music Portal.<\/p>\n

    The function of publishing music on the Web has been enhanced. It became easier for you to publish music on your website, in a matter of two mouse click you obtain the HTML code. We wrote for you a Brief Guide on publishing music on the Web, which contains all the necessary explanations.<\/p>\n
